The nation’s leading scorer Bobby Hunter finished up his spectacular regular season with a 23 point performance to lead the Saints to a second place clinching win over the Falcons.  SF will now host the MFC Tournament championship game on Tuesday, February 26 in the SF Gym at 7:00 PM against either Daytona or FSC-J.  The winner will advance to the FCSAA State Tournament as the MFC #2 seed.  MFC champions College of Central Florida has secured the #1 seed.

Santa Fe (19-11, 5-4 MFC) led at half time 33-19 and carried their stifling defense over into the second half.  The Saints held the Falcons to just 25% shooting from the field.

“We really did a nice job defensively today,” said Mowry.  “It was a physical game and it was tough to score inside for either team.  We did what we needed to and now we will start focusing on Tuesday.  Whether it’s Daytona or Florida State College, we will have to play a very good game to come away with a win.”

Roody Saint-Germain had 13 points, Jordan Banks scored 11 and Andrea Robinson led Santa Fe with 12 rebounds.

#5 Raquitta Gooden scored 18 points
