Leesburg, FL – Karla Claudio led another sweep on Saturday afternoon as the Saints (22-11, 7-1 MFC) pulled out two wins over conference rivals Lake Sumter State College, 8-3 and 3-1. Claudio started in the circle game one and struck out eight. She also hit a two run homer to help her own cause.
The Saints piled up 15 hits in game one in route to the 8-3 win. Sid Masso was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI, Capitini was 2-for-5 with two RBI, Alexis Camelo finished 2-for-3, Rachel Hoeft was 2-for-5 and Galis Lozada was 2-for-5.
In game two Amber Maxey tossed a gem, allowing just one run in seven innings of work. She also led the offense, finishing 2-for-3.
The Saints return home on Tuesday to face the College of Central Florida at 2:30 PM.
