Social Media Workshop April 2

Social Media Workshop April 2

Are you confused about how to start participating in social media? Join Jorie Scholnik and Robin Harpe for part three in the series on discovering Twitter and LinkedIn. Stay in touch with your students, connect with colleagues from around the world, establish yourself as an expert and expand your personal brand.

Twitter: Do you tweet? Do you know which topics are trending? What’s up with those 140 characters? What in the world is an FF or an RT? Want to know what the commotion is all about? Simply put, Twitter is a way to communicate professionally. It can go beyond just “talking:” it inspires collaboration, cultural awareness and you can also keep up with your favorite stars. That’s just a plus.

LinkedIn: Today the trend is to ask for your LinkedIn profile URL as opposed to your business card. Are you receiving tons of requests to connect with former colleagues or individuals you have just met at conferences? Join us for this discussion and learn how to set up your profile. Discover the eight-point matrix for your LinkedIn account that ensures success while developing your own personal branding strategy.

This series is free and open to all SF students, faculty and staff.
