In honor of Earth Day, The Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo welcomes visitors to explore the zoo and experience the wonder of wildlife at Party for the Planet. It’s a weekend celebration of Earth Day, with games and activities linked to conservation of the planet, plus animal-related education.
Zookeepers will be stationed at each exhibit to answer questions and point out interesting facts about the animals. In addition to touring the zoo, there are plenty of other fun family activities.
Party for the Planet is a national event being held at zoos across the country. It’s sponsored by the AZA, the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
The party is on all weekend, April 6 and 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Zoo admission is $5 for adults, $4 for children, and free for ages 3 and under. For more information visit www.sfcollege.edu/zoo or call 352-395-5601.
