The SF Rocket Team, which competed in the 2013 NASA Student Launch Projects this past weekend, had a successful launch in Huntsville, Ala. Sunday morning. The flight went as planned, flew to about 4800 feet and deployed both of its parachutes at the right times. It landed safely with all of the payloads intact.
The team will be analyzing data from the payloads to create a report for the NASA University Student Launch Initiative (USLI) staff to be submitted by Friday, May 17. So far, the team is in good standing in relation to the other competitors, but it will not be known until the end of May exactly what the standings are.
