Making summer plans? The Summer Flex Program begins Monday, May 6, and runs through Monday, August 12, with the exclusions of two holiday weeks (Memorial Day week,Monday, May 27 – Friday, May 31, and Fourth of July week: Monday, July 1 – Friday, July 5). Summer Flex is available to 12-month, full-time employees only and is based on working four 10-hour work days.
Suggested work plan options include
- 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday with any day (Monday through Friday) off per week
- 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with any day (Monday through Friday) off per week
Departments can utilize any combination of days and time that equal 40 hours per week as approved by the appropriate department head and Human Resources. Please feel free to contact Human Resources to brainstorm strategies for making this option viable for your department. Also, keep in mind that supervisors may require employees to return to the regular work week schedule (8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. weekdays) if the modified schedule is not favorably serving students and the college.
