Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe fastpitch rising sophomores Alysia and Alexis Camelo will represent the country of Colombia starting Friday, July 26 at the International World Games in Calo, Colombia. The World Games, played every four, host 37 different sports, and athletes from 101 nations during the weeklong event.
Participating teams in softball are: Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Argentina, Aruba, and Guatemala.
The Colombian team will play their first game of the tournament against Argentina on Friday, July 26 at 7:15 PM COT (8:15 PM EST). They will then play the remaining four teams over the next two days before beginning medal round action on Monday, July 29.
