Kelley Kostamo, from the School Board of Alachua County, will be coming by the college after noon on Friday, Dec. 13, to pick up the Winter Break Food Drive boxes. As I mentioned in a previously, Santa Fe faculty and staff have generously helped the community by collecting food for the annual Winter Break Food Drive over the years, and has consistently been one of the county’s largest contributors.
I know that there are many worthwhile agencies asking for your support during this time of year, but I hope that Santa Fe will be able to continue to support this important initiative of providing food for these students and their families. We have collection boxes available in the Alan Robertson building, outside of my office. Ask the work study student at the front desk and he or she will get a box (or boxes!) for you.
Please bring your completed food boxes to the information desk located on the first floor of the Alan Robertson Building by the morning of December 13th. If you wish to contribute individual items, please drop them off at the same location. A list of the items that are requested is attached.
Over the years, it has been my privilege to be part of this important effort and I am confident that our history of support will continue this year. Please let me know if you have any questions.
