Saints Sweep Palm Beach, 5-3 and 11-1

Lake Worth, FL – The Santa Fe Saints won two games against Palm Beach State College on Tuesday afternoon, taking game one 5-3 and game two 11-1.  Maddy Peres picked up the win in both games.  She started game one and pitched 2.2 innings in relief in game two, following starter Amber Maxey’s 3.1 innings.

Game two was close until a late rally by the Saints (8-12) forced a mercy rule after the sixth inning.

Rachel Hoeft led the offense, going 5-for-8 on the day with a RBI and two runs scored, Sid Masso was 4-for-7 with a RBI and two runs scored, Megan McDonald finished 5-for-8 with two RBI, Celeste Bradshaw was 3-for-7 with two RBI, and Maddy Peres produced with her bat as well as in the circle, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.

The Saints will be at home on Thursday, March 6 for a double header with Grand Rapids CC at 2:00 PM.
