Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints managed just one hit against St. John’s River State College pitcher Mitchell Cody on Wednesday afternoon and Vikings’ third baseman Tyler Humphreys hit two homeruns as SJRSC (26-12, 9-4 MFC) defeated SF 8-0.

Brady Price started on the hill for Santa Fe (20-12, 8-5 MFC) and tossed a season high six innings, allowing four runs.  He struck out five and surrendered 10 hits.

Casey Scoggins recorded the only SF hit in the fourth inning.

Cody struck out 11 and allowed just four baserunners, one by way of a hit, two walks and one error.

The two teams will meet again in Palatka on Friday at 6:00 PM.  The game can be heard live on www.theprepzone.com and www.floridacast.com.
