Volunteers needed to make strides against cancer

The Office of Civic Engagement and Service is seeking SF volunteers for the following community events.

MAKING STRIDES AGAINST CANCER

American Cancer Society is seeking board members, event planners and team members for Making Strides Against Cancer 2014 to be held Saturday, Oct. 25, in Gainesville.  VOLUNTEER CRISISI LINE COUNSELORS

The Alachua County Crisis Center is seeking volunteers. Training is a six week program that runs only three times per year, consisting of one full Saturday, followed by six weeks of Tuesday and Thursday nights 6:30-9:30 p.m. and two 4-hour sessions which can be scheduled at the volunteer’s convenience.
