Sometimes a small idea becomes an amazing project due to collaboration and excitement about the difference the idea can make. This is what has happened to the Women of Distinction (WOD) Speaker’s Bureau. This way for our Women of Distinction to share their knowledge and talents with Santa Fe College students.
The Speaker’s Bureau committee is working on a new format for the fall 2014 semester. Instructors may complete an online form allowing the speaker to have direct interaction with the instructor of the class to arrange dates, times, and discuss the subject matter.
The Women of Distinction Speaker’s Bureau is available to expound on your in-class discussions and provide your students with local examples of how your classroom material is relevant to everyday life. The Women of Distinction award has recognized over 150 outstanding women in Alachua and Bradford Counties and these recipients are excited about the opportunity to engage faculty and students.
