The NJCAA #16/FCSAA #4 Santa Fe Saints kept rolling along Saturday afternoon, picking up two wins, the first against Broward College 3-0 (25-12, 25-7, 25-22), and the second over Webber International University 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-14).
Ruth Harrington dominated the first match against Broward, picking up 13 kills with a .407 hitting percentage. Jane Early and Julie Fuchs played an efficient match, combining for 14 kills, each with over a .600 hitting percentage. Farah Rajaee led the way with 24 assists and 10 service aces, and Ann-Lorrayne Bzoch had a team high 11 digs.
Fuchs and Harrington paced the Saints (20-3, 3-1 MFC) against Webber with 11 kills each. Harrington completed her double double with 16 digs, and Bzoch added 16 digs of her own. Rajaee also had a double double with 13 digs and 25 assists.
The Saints will return to Mid-Florida Conference play on Tuesday, October 7 when they host the NJCAA #8/FCSAA #2 College of Central Florida Patriots (16-5, 2-1 MFC) at 7:00 PM in the SF Gym. For fans who cannot attend, the game will be available on NJCAA TV at www.ihigh.com/santafesaints.
