Dear Santa Fe Family,
I am sorry to inform you about the loss of a friend. Sadly, Sgt. Dan Brainerd, one of the most respected employees of our college, has passed away. Sgt. Brainerd served with distinction and was well known to us at Santa Fe as a calm, compassionate, knowledgeable and dedicated police officer. He exemplified strength and courage during his illness. Sgt. Brainerd had retired last fall after serving the college for 15 years. I know you join me in remembering him in your thoughts and prayers on behalf of his family. The Santa Fe flag has been lowered in his honor.
