SF retiree Astrid Kulz passed away

Astrid Kulz worked at Santa Fe College as a secretary from 1990-2000.  Astrid passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at the age of 82 at the E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville.

She was a member of the Newberry Garden Club as well as an advocate for Save the Manatee’s. She enjoyed collecting antiques, Betty Boop and U.F. Gators Memorabilia.

Mrs. Kulz was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kulz. Survivors include her sons, Gregory (Melody) Cevelin, Todd (Robbie) Kulz, and Tom (Debra) Kulz; grandchildren, Christine Neddo, Kenneth Cevelin, Kevin Kulz, Allison Kulz, and Shelby Kulz; 5 great-grandchildren; and life-long friend, Dee Marvel.

A Celebration of Life service was held at the Milam Funeral Home of Newberry on November 17, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
