On Saturday, Nov. 22, SF’s College Reach Out Program held a pie baking event. Fifteen students and their moms whipped up some fresh sweet potato and pecan pies in the kitchen at Eastside High School. For many of our students, it was a their first time making a pie. It was a time of learning, making new friends and honing teamwork skills. More than 50 pies were sold. The pies have received rave reviews and the students can’t wait to offer CROP pies at the holiday again next Thanksgiving.
