Congrats to all the SF graduates taking the stage this Friday

Santa Fe College will hold fall commencement in the Northwest Campus gymnasium, 3000 NW 83rd St., at 7 p.m. Friday. State Representative Clovis Watson Jr. will be the guest speaker, and Bagpiper Benjamin A. Pugh will perform along with the Gainesville Brass Quintet.

With an increasing number of graduates participating in commencement and limited seating in the gymnasium, SF has instituted a ticket requirement beginning with this fall’s ceremony. Each SF graduate will receive four graduation tickets for guests. Guests are required to present a ticket to enter the gymnasium.

Guests without tickets are invited to view a live-stream of the graduation ceremony in the SF Fine Arts Hall or in the Building E auditorium. The ceremony will also be projected live on a big-screen in the gymnasium parking lot.

Once the ceremony begins, entry to the building will be closed. Those arriving late will be directed to the Fine Arts Hall or E-Auditorium.

The first class of four University of Florida Gator Engineering students will participate in the fall graduation ceremony. Gator Engineering at SF is an innovative partnership with UF where pre-selected UF College of Engineering freshman applicants are invited to begin their coursework at Santa Fe College and matriculate to UF after two or more semesters to continue their engineering studies.
