The Santa Fe Saints (3-0) continued their solid pitching on Saturday afternoon, taking two games from 2011 JUCO World Series participant South Georgia State College, 2-1 and 5-2.

Bryan Neal (1-0) picked up the win in game one after the Saints rallied for two runs in the sixth inning on a RBI double by Hugo Valdes, and a game winning single from Daniel Wentworth.

Call Graham pitched the final third of an inning in relief of Neal to earn the save (1).  The Saints pitchers combined to allow just three hits and struck out nine in seven innings.

Jared Shouppe picked up right where he left off on Friday, going 3-for-3 with a run scored, his second three hit game to start the season.

In game two Santa Fe took an early 3-0 lead in the second inning thanks to a two run error, and squeeze bunt by Tyler Kinney to score Cole Parks.

The Saints added two insurance runs in the sixth on a passed ball and a RBI triple by Kinney.

Walker Burgess (1-0) earned the win, pitching 2.2 scoreless innings in relief of starter Clint Duke.  Michael Ray got the save (1) after retiring the final batter.

Through the first three games of the season, the SF pitching staff has surrendered just three runs.

Tyler Kinney finished 3-for-4 with a triple, and a RBI, Cole Parks was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, and Mike Castilla was 2-for-3.

The Saints will travel to Winter Haven on Wednesday, Feb. 4 for 5 p.m. game against Polk State College.
