Seahorse Key Trip for Faculty

Join us at Seahorse Key Marine Laboratory and learn more about how you may use this facility in your courses. Dr. Heidi Lannon (geography) and Linda Tyson (biology) will share how they use this facility to enhance their curriculum. The marine lab is jointly operated by the University of Florida and Santa Fe College and offers a wealth of educational opportunities for our students and community. The boat has a limited capacity. Schedule
- 8AM: Faculty will meet at SF
- 9:30AM: Arrive at Cedar Key
- 9:30-11AM: Enjoy the Cedar Key Arts Festival
- 11:15AM-noon: Leave the dock and trawl on the way to Seahorse Key
- Noon-12:45PM: Lunch at Seahorse Key
- 1-2 or 3PM: Informal Talks and tour of the island and lighthouse at Seahorse Key
