The American Cancer Society 2015 Relay for Life of Gainesville will be held this Friday, April 17-18, 2015 at our own Santa Fe College Track!
Please join SF students, staff, and faculty along with our community to raise awareness and funds in the 2015 Relay for Life of Gainesville. The walk will begin at 6pm Friday, April 17 and continued throughout the night and conclude at 6am on Saturday, April 18. At 6:30pm, the walk will begin with cancer survivors taking the first lap. Cancer Survivors can sign up at the event or online. A Luminaria ceremony will take place at 9pm. Luminaria bags are available for purchase at the event which can be decorated with the names of those touched by cancer.
When we walk to end cancer at this Relay event, it’s our opportunity to not only honor cancer survivors and remember loved ones lost, but also to raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from cancer and raise money to help fuel the world’s largest walk to end cancer. At the overnight walk, teams fundraise, take turns walking the track, and participate in family-friendly games and activities.
