Collaborative SF conference receives AFC award

At last week’s AFC Student Development Commission conference, SF employees Darrius Demps and Aminah Harris were recognized as winners of the 2015 AFC Student Development Commission Exemplary Practice Award for their work on the Black Male Recruitment Conference, a collaboration between My Brothers Keeper and the Office of Admissions.

As winners of the award, the Commission provided them a $500 check, payable to the Santa Fe College Foundation, to support student scholarships here at Santa Fe College.  They will also be invited to present a full educational session on the Black Male Recruitment Conference at the 2015 AFC Conference, at which time they will receive an additional $500 award from the AFC.
