The Super Summer Science Camp at the Watson Center held its first ever Counselor in Training program this summer!
The inaugural class of CITs spent the week working together with the instructors to help prepare for camp. They learned about conflict resolution and participated in leadership training activities.
The CITs and the instructors each made a ‘Nebula’ t-shirt to wear to camp next week. In addition, each CIT worked individually with Margaret Arens, the student adviser at the Watson Center, completing an ‘interest inventory’. Using their results, Margaret and the CITs discussed goals, possible careers and educational paths. It was a very productive and fun week!
