On Saturday, Sept. 19, Santa Fe College for Kids ran a robotics workshop for SciGirls at Porter’s Community Center. The girls, ages 9-14, had the opportunity to create and expand their scientific skills working with the different aspects of the EV3 Lego Mindstorms robot. They learned how to use sensors, program and navigate with the robot. The girls designed and built an attachment to perform tasks and even gave the robot its own unique personality by recording their voice and uploading it to the robot.
