Elio Piedra Quartet performs free concert at SF Dec. 10

Elio Piedra’s Quartet Presents “Pathway,” a debut of their first American album. The free Jazz fusion concert will take place Dec. 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the SF Fine Arts Hall.

Elio Piedra’s Quartet is the winner of the 2009 International Jazz Festival in Havana, Cuba. The international entertainers have performed on television shows, at music festivals, and on stage with many Grammy Award winning musicians, including Jennifer Holliday, who recently performed at SF as part of the Master Artist Series.

The Quartet fuses an innovative mixture of styles and sounds, ranging from Smooth Jazz, Gospel, Swing, and Funk, to Classical Music, with roots in AfroCuban Latin Jazz that inspires their unique rhythms.
