SF Qualifies for Brain Bowl State Championships

Santa Fe College hosted the Brain Bowl Regional Championships on Friday, Feb. 12. The college competed with two teams at this academic quiz tournament that tests student knowledge in science, literature, history and the arts.

The Provost, Dr. Ed Bonahue, welcomed the visiting teams to Santa Fe College, praising their academic competitiveness. The SF-A team placed 2nd with a record of 6W-1L, while the B team came in 5th place (3W-4L). The tournament was won by the A team from the College of Central Florida (CF-A), which went undefeated on Friday.

The SF-A team will represent Santa Fe College at the Brain Bowl State Championships to be held April 14-16 at Pasco-Hernando State College in Spring Hill, FL, since the top two teams automatically qualify.

The Santa Fe College Brain Bowl team was reactivated this year, and hasn’t competed at the Brain Bowl State Championships in several years. Go Saints!!
