Join this panel discussion of academics and practitioners to learn about the historical and current conditions of Latino farmworkers, their experiences of isolation and inclusion, and how their rights have been and continue to be violated.  Dr. Rosana Resende will highlight the connection and undue burdens associated with gender, migration, and farmworkers in the United States.  Dr. Antonio Tovar will discuss the occupational risks of engaging in farm work in Florida.  Lastly, Robin Lewy will explore the challenge of providing healthcare to Latino farmworkers in North Central Florida. These three presenters will highlight the work that non-profit groups and government agencies are doing to secure the basic rights of this neglected segment of U.S. society.
