SAINTS FALL TO Florida State College-Jacksonville, 12-4

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints couldn’t overcome 13 walks and 13 hits put up by Florida State College-Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Blue Wave on the road, 12-4.

The 13 free passes were the most issued by a normally efficient Saints pitching staff. FSC-J scored five runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth to put Santa Fe in a hole they weren’t able to dig themselves out of.

SF (31-5, 12-2 MFC) scored single runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth. The loss snaps a seven game winning streak for Santa Fe, their second winning streak of at least seven games, and third of at least six.

Matt Allen, Cole Parks, and Chad Stockdale had two hits each for the Saints. SF will get back after it on Monday, April 4 on the road against Seminole State College at 3:00 PM.
