Jazz Up Spring Turns 10 This Year

Today, April 7, 2016, our Instrumental Music Department of Fine Arts is presenting the 10th annual “Jazz Up Spring” Concert. This concert will feature three different bands; The Santa Fe Rhythm and Blues Review performing Wilson Pickett’s “MidNight Hour, ” Aretha’s “Chain of Fools,” and Eddie Floyd’s “Knock on Wood, ” Featuring Rowan Housden on lead vocals! The Santa Fe Jazz Combo, featuring Andrea Garcia on vocals singing “All of Me,” then Horace Silvers’ “Song for My Father,” Kosma’s “Autumn Leaves,” and Dizzy’s “A Night in Tunisia,” While the Santa Fe Big Band will feature Gerald Wesley singing Sinatra’s “Witchcraft, ” Rowan Housden Singing “Blue Skies,” and Alex Desmond Singing “Sway,” plus Goodwind’s “Act Your Age” Nestico’s “Samantha” featuring our lead Alto Sax Player David Daza and much much more. It all begins @ 7:30 pm in the Beautiful Fine Arts Hall on Santa Fe College’s NorthWest Campus in Gainesville, Florida! Y-all come now-ya hear?
