SAINTS FALL TO ST. JOHN’S RIVER TWICE; ELIMINATED FROM POST SEASON CONTENTION

St. John’s River State College got the better of the Santa Fe Saints Fast Pitch team on Sunday in Gainesville, winning both games of a double header 6-5 and 10-5. The losses eliminate SF from FCSAA Tournament contention.

The Vikings had to fight back with three runs in the seventh inning of game number one to pull out the victory. In game two, a six run sixth inning did in SF.

Santa Fe (21-31, 7-17 MFC) led 4-2 in game two, but the big inning by SJRSC proved to be the difference.
Cassandra Garcia finished game two 2-for-3 with a homerun and three RBI.
