Last Chance to See “Sweet Charity” This Week, May 19-21

CHARITY_POSTERThe all student cast will be performing for you May 19-21. The musical was originally choreographed by the phenomenal Bob Fosse Fifty years ago, which coincides with Santa Fe College’s 50 years in existence. Charity’s confusions about love and relationships are still very pertinent today. Hear memorable songs the likes of, “Hey, Big Spender”, “If My Friends Could See Me Now”, “Too Many Tomorrows”, “There’s Gotta’ Be Something Better Than This”, I’m a Brass Band Baby”, and “Dream Your Dream”.

Come follow the loves and losses of Charity, a 1960’s dance hall hostess looking for Mr. Right, as she sings, dances, laughs and cries her way through her various romances.

“Sweet Charity” is sponsored by the SF College Fine Arts Department; SF College Student Life; the SF College Foundation and Arts Patron program; the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture; Visit Gainesville, a Tourist Development Tax Grant from the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners in conjunction with the Alachua County Tourist Development Council; and Gateway Grand Best Western.
