Members of the Gainesville Orchestra will be on hand to demonstrate the instruments. In the lobby after the performances, there will be an opportunity to meet the characters and for children to do coloring and other activities.

The ballet will be performed by students who have received Fine Arts Department scholarships; Brooke Allen, Jeremy Cutter, Christina Karafa, Matthew Oliveira, Jonah Shearer, Danyel Smith, and Emma Wedemeyer.

Choreographed by Fine Arts Department Chairperson Alora Haynes, “Peter and the Wolf” is set to a 1978 recording by the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Eugene Ormandy and narrated by David Bowie. Bowie described his work on the project as a Christmas present for his son, Duncan Jones, who was then seven years old.PETERandTHEWOLFPROMO
