VISIONS: THE JOURNAL OF APPLIED RESEARCH FOR THE ASSOCIATION OF FLORIDA COLLEGES Requests submissions for its Fall 2016 Volume focused on Campus Safety Submissions in the following formats will be considered for inclusion:
• Scholarly Articles – Approximately 1,500 to 2,500 words in length. Should be submitted in current APA (American Psychological Association) style and written in clear and concise language that presents the research with clarity of purpose and rationale.
• Best Practices – Written with the purpose of providing working solutions to problems posed by the issues addressed. • Editorials – At the discretion of the Editorial Board.
• Suggested topics for this issue might include: gun violence on campus, classroom techniques or safety plans, literature reviews focusing on safety topics, gender neutral restrooms, promoting safety at student or sporting events, student mental health issues, or emergency response planning.
All submissions with be referred to the Visions Editorial Board and must include an abstract outlining three or four implications of the topic for the college system. Submissions must also include a short biographical statement describing the author and a signed copyright release statement.
