The 12th annual event spotlighting films by Latin filmmakers gets off to a rousing first weekend with screenings of “El Regresso” (The Return), about a 30-year-old man who returns to Costa Rica after 10 years in New York City, and screenings of “Cuarto Puntos Cardinales” (The Four Cardinal Points), a documentary about El Salvador, at 2 p.m. Saturday, and the Cuban film “Un Amigo Inesperado” (An Unexpected Friend), about an interracial relationship, at 7 p.m. Saturday. All three screenings will be at Santa Fe College’s Building-E Theater, and admission is FREE.
