We invite the Santa Fe College family to explore the exhibit, “People on the Move,” which will be on display all of this week at the S-Building Lobby, Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday’s hours are 8:00-4:30.
The exhibit is comprised of eight panels that highlight different aspects of worldwide migration including issues related to economic migration, displaced people and refugees, and immigration to the United States. It provides background on the causes and consequences of migration, as well as the obstacles and opportunities that immigrants and refugees around the world face.
The exhibit gives people a chance to gain a better understanding of this highly charged topic and provides ideas for ways to become involved and advocate on behalf of immigrants and refugees. This event is being sponsored by the non-profit organization, Welcoming Gainesville.
