October 23, 2003 – Santa Fe College got accepted for membership in League for Innovation. Only 19 of the 1200 community colleges in the country were members.

October 24, 1995 – Job Training for senior residents was offered at Santa Fe College for the first time.

October 25, 2002 – Automotive Technology Program won first place in the nation for “Overall Excellence” in competition sponsored by the Automotive Industry Planning Council.Screen Shot 2016-10-24 at 10.16.30 AM

October 26, 1996 – Santa Fe College’s Watttenbarger Student Services building was dedicated.

October 26, 2002 – Santa Fe College participated in heart Walk at Oaks mall to help raise money to fight heart disease and stroke.

October 27, 1971 – According to the Gainesville Sun, committed to a philosophy that no student should be denied access to an education through lack of financial resources, Santa Fe College ranked 4th in providing Student Aid.

October 27, 1976 – According to the Florida Times Union, for the fifth consecutive year, a Santa Fe College student won the state’s top student media productions award. Dean Tucker won at the Florida Association for Media Education with a multi-media presentation entitled “Love”.

October 28, 1967 – Santa Fe College joined the State College Association.

October 29, 2001- Santa Fe Colleges faculty to reflected on the college’s opening in 1960’s style of the era. Faculty wore bell-bottoms, tie-dye, rose-colored glasses and other clothing that was worn in the 60’s and was once again in-vogue.
