Directed by Music Professor Lynn Sandefur, the vocalists will perform holiday favorites from different decades and different styles including classical, jazz, pop, rock, and gospel.
The program includes a new and lively version of “Carol of the Bells”; jazz arrangements of “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” and “Jingle Bells”; heartwarming renditions of “The Christmas Song” and “All is Well”; and the holiday standards “Angels We Have Heard on High” and “Silent Night.”
Accompanying the singers will be Music Professor Mitch McKay on piano and the Santa Fe Band, directed by Music Professor Steven Bingham, Ph.D.
Joan Freese, a former SF College student, will be spotlighted on stage as she uses American Sign Language to interpret the concert for people with hearing impairments.
Sandefur teaches voice and piano at SF and has served as musical director for many of the college’s theatre productions. She has performed throughout Florida as a featured soloist with symphony orchestras and choruses.
