Alachua County public schools, Santa Fe College and the University of Florida will be closed Friday. Classes will resume Monday with some UF classes resuming on Saturday.
RTS will provide reduced holiday service Friday. Routes 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15, 16, 20, 26, 35, 43, 75, and 711 will run every hour between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. All other routes will not be running. For more information, visit www.go-rts.com
Most banks and credit unions will be closed Friday.
U.S. Postal Service offices will be closed Friday.
County and city administrative offices will be closed Friday.
The Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office will be closed Friday.
The Alachua County Tax Collector’s Office will be closed Friday.
The Alachua County Courthouse’s administrative offices will be closed Friday.
Animal Services will be closed Friday and will resume reopen on Saturday. During this time Animal Services will respond only to emergencies. For emergency animal assistance, contact the Alachua County Sheriff’s office at 352-955-1818.
Alachua County Library District headquarters and district branches will be closed Friday. All book drops and online services through the library district’s eBranch, however, will be available. All branches and the two bookmobiles will resume their regular service hours Monday.
