Palm Beach State College rallied in the fourth quarter on Friday night against Santa Fe College, defeating the Saints 76-72 after a 28 point final quarter.
The Saints jumped all over the Panthers in the first quarter, leading 23-11 through the first 10 minutes. The two teams played even in the second quarter, but out of halftime PBSC turned it on and narrowed the lead to seven heading into the fourth before outscoring the Saints to earn the win.
“We struggled tonight in the second half,” said SF Coach Chanda Stebbins. “It’s a 40 minute game and we have to start playing that way.”
Ari Emanuel-Wright led Santa Fe (4-5) with 26 points, her fifth 20 plus point performance of the season and third in a row. Corey Staples finished with 14 points and Tabitha Odabe had 12.
