Santa Fe College participates in Porters Community Center Open House

June 20, 2017 – Santa Fe College participated in the Porters Community open house event Saturday, June 17, which featured local resources at the Community Center. Answering the call for participation were JoAnn Wilkes and Karen Sheets of the Displaced Homemaker Program, Michele Leavitt of the BACK TO WORK 50+ initiative, and Tyrus Bradshaw, Student Support Specialist at the Blount Center. Santa Fe College staff talked with attendees about the many supportive programs offered by the college, and also networked with other service providers to learn about opportunities for assistance with utility bills, housing, violence prevention, and organic gardening.
