Pasco Hernando Downs Saints, 3-1

August 31, 2017 – Pasco Hernando State College, a team that the Saints always seem to have close matches with, came out on the winning end against Santa Fe College (1-5) Wednesday evening in New Port Richey 3-1 (25-18, 14-25, 23-25, 23-25).

“They had a great crowd and it was a heck of a match on both sides,” said SF Coach Nick Cheronis.  “We just need to take care of the ball a little bit better and we will be fine.  Hats off to Pasco, they were great.”

Sterling Williamson led the SF attack, tallying 10 kills.  Leah Wilcox finished with eight kills, and Aspen Dangren had six in her first game action of the season.

The Saints will try to get back to their winning ways when they travel to Eastern Florida State College for a one day tournament Saturday, Sept. 2.  They will battle Indian River State College at 1 p.m. and Eastern Florida at 5 p.m.

The next home game is against Pasco Hernando on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m.
