October 31, 2017 – The 23rd Annual Boo at the Zoo will be held this afternoon, Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, from 3 until 7:30 p.m. Visitors can walk the trails decorated by Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo students and staff and collect candy in a safe, family-friendly environment.

Admission to Boo at the Zoo is just one canned good per person. The cans will be donated to Catholic Charities and Gainesville Harvest to help needy families in the community. Last year, nearly 6,000 cans were collected.

There will be entertainment from Danscompany of Gainesville as well. Their performance of “Thriller” has always been a fan favorite.

Because of the crowds that attend, traffic will be rerouted on the Northwest Campus. From 2 until 7:30 p.m., North Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from NW 91st Street to the SF Gym to ensure the safety of visitors to Boo at the Zoo. SF students, faculty and staff will need to find an alternate route to get on or off campus during those hours.
