November 7, 2017 – Santa Fe College is proud to support the United Way of North Central Florida. The United Way funds more than 35 programs with 23 local agencies, including the Boys & Girls Club, Catholic Charities, Early Learning Coalition, Girls Place, Reichert House, and St. Francis House.

Through the years, SF has had a strong record of helping the United Way meet the needs of our community. The United Way is an organization that extends kindness and support to many individuals and families, many of whom are facing seemingly insurmountable problems.  Please visit the United Way of North Central Florida’s website for more information on the incredible services they provide for our community.

SF offers many opportunities to give to the United Way, including payroll deductions. You can even designate which organization helped by the United Way gets your donation.

There will be a drawing for an iPad for everyone who makes a contribution of at least $24, or $1 per pay period. In order to be included in the drawing, you must submit the United Way Pledge Form to Ramona Mount in Building F, room 041 no later than Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017.

Penny Wars will come to an end Thursday, Nov. 9. The competition between SF students and staff will result in a pie in the face for the losing team. If the students raise more than the staff, Dr. Naima Brown will get the pie in the face. If the staff wins, student body president Cale McCall will get the pie.

Finally, there will be another drawing for a Solano Scooter (and $899 value). Bids for the scooter can be made at the visitor information desk inside the Administration Building (Building F). The drawing for the scooter will be held in during the second week of November.
