Brown’s Double-Double Leads Saints Past Rising Stars Academy, 113-60

December 14, 2017  – SF freshman Sam Brown had the best game of his young career on Wednesday afternoon, scoring 10 points to go with 11 rebounds, four steals, and a block to lead the Saints to a convincing 113-60 win over Rising Stars Academy.

The FCSAA 10th ranked Saints started fast and led 24-9 early in the game. Despite a 10-0 run by RSA to close the gap, the Saints went on a 24-2 run to end the first half and led at the break 55-26.

The Saints (9-5) continued to pour it on in the second half, making seven three-pointers to go with the 11 they made in the first half.  They outscored Rising Stars Academy 55-34 over the final 20 minutes to finish off the 53-point win.

Nick Peacock lead all scorers with 20 points, Brady Fernandes had 17, Ivan Smith scored 15 and dished out nine assists, Elias Eerikinharju had 15 points, D-Juan Taylor-Hodge 15 points and seven rebounds, and Sean Flood scored 12.

As a team, the Saints had 15 steals and outrebounded RSA 46-30.

SF will be back in action on Saturday, December 16 at home against Polk State College at 2 p.m.
