December 14, 2017 – Regional Transit System (RTS) will have a number of changes to service due to the collegiate winter break and the holiday season. Changes will include reduced service Dec. 16 through 24 and Dec. 26 through Dec. 31; no service on Christmas Day (Monday, Dec. 25) and holiday service on New Year’s Day (Monday, Jan. 1, 2018). Details for each are below.
Dec. 16 -24 and Dec. 26-31 Reduced Service: There will be no service on routes 19, 21, 27, 28, 29, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 46, 62, 76, 77, Later Gator and UF campus routes. There will be reduced frequency on routes 9, 10, 12, 13, 20, 23, 33, 34, 35, 43 (last run at 7:09 p.m. from Santa Fe College to Shands). Reduced service is indicated on RTS route time schedules with an “R” in the far right column under each route direction column section. The “R” indicates buses that continue to run during RTS reduced service days.
Monday, Dec. 25, (Christmas Day): No Service
Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 (New Year’s Day) Holiday Service: Only routes 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 13, 15, 16, 20, 26, 35, 43, 75 and 711 will be running between about 7:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. depending on the route (see chart below). All other routes will be suspended, however, ADA service will between the same hours of service.
