Saints Win Streak Ends at Four

January 16, 2018 – The Santa Fe Saints (11-9, 2-0 MFC) saw their four-game winning streak come to an end Saturday. The Saints traveled to Melbourne for a nonconference matchup with Eastern Florida State College, and came out on the losing end, falling to the Titans in a defensive struggle, 61-51.

FCSAA No. 10 SF struggled from the field against seventh-ranked EFSC, shooting just 27 percent. The Titans outscored the Saints 22-9 in the first quarter and SF was never able to fully rebound, despite outscoring Eastern Florida over the final three quarters.

Stephanie Jackson led SF with 14 points, Ivana Boyd had nine points and nine rebounds, and Destiny Williams and Brianna Richardson had eight points each.

The Saints will be back in action Wednesday, Jan. 17, when they host the College of Central Florida at 6 p.m. on Student Appreciation Night at the SF Gym.
