January 17, 2018 – The Santa Fe Saints basketball teams will both be in action tonight taking on Mid-Florida Conference rivals the College of Central Florida. The women will tip things off at 6 p.m. and the men will follow at approximately 8 p.m. The Saints will honor the SF student body with Student Appreciation Night. There will be free pizza and hotdogs for all currently enrolled SF students.
The SF women enter the game with an 11-9 record and are ranked No. 9 in the latest FCSAA poll. Their 2-0 MFC record has them in first place. CF is one game behind them in the conference standings (1-1) and carries a 4-15 overall record.
The FCSAA seventh-ranked SF men will battle the nationally ranked #15 and FCSAA ranked #3 Patriots following the women’s game. The Saints come in riding an eight-game winning streak and the Patriots have won five in a row. CF is 17-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play and the Saints are 14-5 and 2-0 in the MFC.
