January 22, 2018 – The Santa Fe Saints (14-7, 2-2 MFC) fought hard on the road against one of the best teams in the country Saturday afternoon but came up short, falling to Eastern Florida 93-71.
Ivan Smith led the team with 19 points, while D-Juan Taylor-Hodge scored 18 points for SF.
“Our guys played hard and gave a great effort today,” said SF Coach Chris Mowry. “Eastern Florida is a very good team and we didn’t defend well enough to have a chance.”
The Saints will hit the road Wednesday to battle Florida State College-Jacksonville at 8 p.m.
