February 27, 2018 – The E-Auditorium at Santa Fe College will play host to the fifth biennial Jon Philip Sousa concert Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.
The Santa Fe Winds will be performing six Sousa compositions including “King Cotton,” “El Capitan,” and the famous “Washington Post.”
The Santa Fe Winds will also perform a couple of classical standards during the concert. Mozart’s Overture to “The Marriage of Figaro” arranged by Earl Slocum and Alfred Reed’s “Hounds of Spring” arranged by Robert Longfield. One of SF’s most talented trombone players, Stephen Kushmaul, will be performing as well.
