SF Softball: Central Florida Gets a Pair from Saints

April 14, 2018 – Gainesville, FL – The 2018 Mid-Florida Conference champion College of Central Florida Patriots lived up to their #6 NJCAA national ranking, defeating the Santa Fe Saints 9-0 and 9-1.

Lindsey Markham-Rosario was dominant in the circle game one, pitching all five innings with six strikeouts.  Kelly Bennett and Charlene Contreras had the Saints lone hits.

In game the CF offense didn’t let up, scoring four runs in route to the 9-1 win.

Haissette Escudero knocked in the SF (27-26-2, 7-15 MFC) run.  Emily Yakel and Natalia Bellinger had two hits each.

Santa Fe will conclude the MFC portion of their schedule on Monday in Leesburg against Lake Sumter State College at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.  The Saints need to win both to give themselves a chance at the final spot in the Mid-Florida Conference Tournament.
