May 25, 2018 – Santa Fe College will be closed Monday, May 28, 2018, in honor of Memorial Day. There will be no classes held, however the SF Teaching Zoo will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the SFPD will, as always, be operational.
Memorial Day is a federal holiday established in 1868, paying respects to those who lost their lives serving in the country’s armed forces. The holiday was observed on May 30, from its inception until 1970. In 1971, the observance of Memorial Day was moved to the final Monday of May.
Classes and normal business operations at SF will resume Tuesday, May 29, at 8 a.m.
